Meet Your Hosts - The Pagliaro Family
Hello fellow Campers,
We’re the Pagliaro’s. My name is Donna, my husband is Vinny, our son Vincent is nine years old and our daughter Victoria seven. Plus we can’t forget Celeste (Nana) and our St. Bernard, Daisy. We currently live in Westchester County, NY and have been camping in the Adirondacks for almost ten years. We love the fact that camping is a great way to bring our family together to escape the everyday ordeals that we all face. Between work, school, homework and after-school activities we sometimes forget that we should embrace the time we have on this wonderful earth. Many times during our visits to the Adirondacks we discussed how great it would be for us to drop everything and move to the Adirondack region. We looked at many different business opportunities but nothing appealed to us until we visualized our dream, the “Chocolate Moose Campground”. We searched high and low for the perfect piece of land and found it! It’s a beautiful parcel located approx 6.7 miles from the Northway (Exit 20) on Rt. 149, near the border of Fort Ann and Queensbury in the Town of Fort Ann.
The Campground is centrally located near several different local attractions. The Hillbilly Fun miniature golf course and ice cream parlor is located directly across the street from the Campground. The Great Escape Water Park is approximately 7 miles away and Lake George Village is approximately 10 miles. There are half a dozen golf courses within a 10 miles radius and the Champlain canal is approximately 10 miles away. There are many other attractions close to our Campground that you will never run out of things to do.
We talked with many campers asking what they would like to see in a campground and combined that with our own experience in camping to determine what makes for an enjoyable camping experience. This was then used to design the site plan and develop the amenities. For example, the main design and layout of the campground allows for large and roomy sites.
The second biggest feature we concentrated on were the amenities. Considering that we have two children of our own, we know one of the main things that will keep every mom and dad happy is not hearing the dreaded words “I’m bored or what can we do now?”! We have been there ourselves. So one of the areas we focused on were the four heated pools, one of which will have an enormous 30 foot waterslide. Our Moose-Tiki hut will be centrally located between all of our pools. We also kept in mind the little toddlers, or what we like to call our baby mooseketeers. We gave them their own pool with their own waterslide!
We also focused on the playground areas. We purchased equipment to accommodate all age groups. There will be areas dedicated to toddlers, kids ages six to twelve, and teenagers. Some of the other great amenities we will be offering are jumping pillows, outdoor movies, an extra large game room, and many more activities throughout day, such as theme weekends.
We’ve designed a beautiful water park; you will feel like you’re at a resort! Wireless internet throughout the whole park will also be offered. Our adult pavilion will be equipped with its own bar and stage for live entertainment, so you can kick back and relax while listening to some of our local talent. We are a family oriented campground, focused on adults and children alike; offering activities for all ages from potato sack races to outdoor concerts. Our campground will go the extra mile to ensure everyone has an enjoyable vacation experience.
Thank you for visiting the Chocolate Moose Campground Web Site. See you soon when the Moose is on the Loose!
